Readings and music honoring the victims and survivors of the massacre at the Tree of Life Synagogue.
The Clarion Quartet will perform musical selections written by Jewish and other marginalized composers that express the powerful human ability to move forward and create great art after tragedy. The program will also feature readings from Pittsburgh poet Natalie Homer and Hebrew translator Kevin Haworth as well as remarks from Rabbi Myers of the Tree of Life Congregation, Dan Leger from Dor Chadash Congregation, and Rabbi Perlman from New Light Congregation.
Presented in partnership with the The Jack Buncher Endowed Chair in Jewish Studies in the Department of History at Carnegie Mellon University.
Two ways to watch: live in person at City of Asylum, or live-streamed online. Tickets are free.
